OUTLINE

• Diagnosis and treatment planning for failed endodontic cases
• Removal of intracanal blockages
• Revise the theory of endodontic surgery
• Soft and hard tissue management in surgery
• Update on contemporary retrograde filling materials, and microsurgical instruments
• Bone regeneration in endodontic surgery
• Live surgical case

PRACTICAL ELEMENTS

• Removal of fractured instruments and posts from canals
• Flap design on pig’s head jaws
• Under operating microscope:
- Osteotomy and surgical access
- Use of ultrasonics for root retropreparation
- Use of bioaggregates and other cements for retrograde filling
- Microsurgical instruments

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the two day course, delegates should be able to:

• Diagnose failed endodontic cases and re-treat easy-moderately difficult technical cases
• Remove blockages and fractured instruments from root canals
• Know the indications and contraindications for endodontic surgery
• Have a knowledge of current techniques and materials
• Understand the types of lesion requiring bone regeneration
