Mark Hunter qualified in 1979 gaining his BDS (Hons. Clinical Dentistry) from the University of Manchester. In January 1980, he was appointed as a Junior House Officer at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and, in the same year, took up an Associate post in a Northwich practice. This was followed in 1984 by an Associate post in Altrincham, Cheshire.
In 1989, and in addition to an already busy schedule, Mark began teaching undergraduates in the Conservation Department of the University Dental Hospital of Manchester. He now teaches MSc postgraduate students on the Endodontic programme.
From 1992-1994, Mark studied for a part-time degree in Endodontics and was awarded an MSc in June 1995. Mark is now Principal of the Ellesmere Dental Practice, taking referral Endodontic cases from practices in the Northwest and in 2001, he was accepted onto the General Dental Council’s UK Endodontics Specialist list.
In addition to his Manchester University teaching commitments, Mark has run numerous hands-on Endodontic courses throughout the Northwest and has lectured throughout the UK and abroad.
